The Ladykillers

Thames Audio provide systems for West End production

Following on from its sell-out run at Liverpool Playhouse, the celebrated Ealing Comedy "The Ladykillers' made its West End debut at The Gielgud Theatre in Londons West End. Thames Audio were delighted to continue their work with Sound Design duo Ben & Max Ringham.

To support the dynamic nature of the orchestration and effects the main proscenium system featured six EM Acoustics EMS122's with four Funktion One Minibass' providing the all important low end. As Associate Designer Simon Maloney commented "Many of the effects in the show require a large amount of sub bass. As space was a premium the tight footprint and high efficiency of the Minibass made it an obvious choice".

On Stage effects were reproduced by a matrix of EM Acoustics EMS122's and EMS61's along with Funktion One MicroBass Sub cabinets.

All orchestration, sound FX and MIDI automation was controlled via a QLab show control system.
